Playing Daddy Aiden Bates Books

At first I was confused by the title of the second Silver Oak Medical Center (SOMC). None of the main or secondary characters were Daddies. The story actually is about the head of SOMC's Emergency Room / Department, Rick Wade and Dylan, a young gorgeous actor who ends up needing emergency care. But as the story progressed I realized that the term "Daddy" could be referring to the more patriarchal relationship that Dylan had with his Agent.

Dylan always did what he said. No one else had as much control over him. No one else could influence him the way Phil could. If anyone tried to say anything negative about the guy who had saved him from a bad situation as an older teen, Dylan would not believe that person. No one knew Phil like he did. Phil was the closest he'd come to a father since being kicked out of his parents' home at the unbelievable age of fourteen.

Dylan's self esteem was extremely low. The cruel abandonment first from his parents, then the abuse while with the ballet company, and now the horrible treatment from the movie's director. A movie, his Agent arranged, for Dylan to take one of the leading roles in. During each circumstance Dylan is treated in a manner which reinforced an even lower self esteem.

That was until an Emergency Room Doctor came to his rescue. He added some reinforcements to his rescue team by adding the hospital's attorney, Jason Delancey and its much unpopular CEO Finn Riley. As well as some people who were among the film's actors and their guild. Each person is needed to overcome a bevy of crazy interactions, obstruction, and a mountain of disbelief.

I learned so much about film production, actor's rights, what is legal for agents and directors to do, how easy it is to take advantage of someone vulnerable. And how hard people fight to give up control, as well as how difficult it is to learn your own value.

Who's your Daddy? Who's not your Daddy? What it means to become a Daddy? This is definitely a mpreg novel, where becoming a Dad helps someone to realize he a worthy of the title. And he realizes the need to change to be the Father his soon to be child deserves.

I really enjoyed this book and I've already begin reading the third book in th SOMC series. Aiden Bates really keeps the reader engaged and gets better as an author with each story. I can't wait to read his NEVER TOO LATE series.

Playing Daddy Aiden Bates Books Reviews

This story is a little different from Aiden's nornal writing. It is still an emotion packed adventure. And you can't help but fall in love with the charactors. It was a little less erotic, but made up for it in intensity and emotion.
Not a really good start in life, but he worked hard to change his life around. His manager was and is the lowest form of dirt bag that I have read about. His fellow actor helped him out. Fiancé was the best part to me he saved Dylan with help.
What can I say, another great book by Aiden. I have so enjoyed his writing and creativity when it comes to the mpreg. That is what made my love his stories when I first started reading paranormal books. Just like book one, this was a great read from start to finish. I just loved Dylan and Rick's story. Can't wait for the next. I received and ARC and voluntarily read it for an honest review.
This second story in the Silver Oak Medical Center turned up the heat and the loving. This AMAZING story between Dylan and Rick is about love, friendship and caring. Looking out for others and seeing past the surface. I loved this couple. I thought all the characters that were introduced in this story were all interesting. I love this series because these books can truly be read as a stand-alone. But I was glad to see an appearance of some people from Book 1.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS AMAZING SERIES!!!!!
First let me say I've read a lot of Aiden's books and have enjoyed them. This one, not so much. It had a couple issues. It seemed as though two people wrote it. Dylan's last name changed from Parker to Palmer so many times I'm still not sure which it is. Once Dylan's name was Dean.
Also the use of "you know ", " I mean " and "like " was annoying. Were they teenaged girls?
It was like the author didn't read his own writing. I mean, you know?
I will continue to read Aiden's books since I've enjoyed them in the past, but please authors don't think your readers are idiots or don't care
The lives and loves of the Silver Oak Medical Center doctors are fast passed, dedicated and leave little room for romance. That is, until they meet that one person who completes them in a personal intimate way.
I won't go into a repeat of the synopsis, you can read that for yourself. What I will tell you though, these two books in this series are thoroughly engrossing and well written with depth of characterization that makes for memorable reading. You won't soon forget these men. Aiden Bates spins a story so well, these guys in his stories seem like people you'd like to know.
Number 3 will be coming soon and it will be snapped up by this reader as soon as it is released.
I would rate this book higher, but it drove me NUTS that the author couldn't even keep Dylan's name straight. His name is introduced as Dylan PARKER, but sooo many times he was referred to as Palmer, not Parker, and he was even called Dean at least once. I have grown to enjoy Aiden Bates's more recent works; they are much more fleshed out, full stories. But it's almost like this one was rushed out without even a re-reading; I mean, how can you miss screwing up your main character's name... several times? On the other side, I did enjoy the slow buildup of Rick and Dylan's relationship. As for some of the reviewers complaining about the mpreg, I suppose it didn't say it directly in the blurb, but if you've read almost anything by Aiden Bates, you wouldn't be that surprised--especially if you'd read book one of the series. I will say the Alpha/Omega contents of this book are VERY subdued to the point of being almost non-visible. Neither of the main characters is referred to as an Alpha or Omega for practically the whole first half of the book.
