As the debut novel by filmmaker Kelly Schwarze, Alien Domicile explores the frightening subject of human experimentation and space aliens. This heart-pounding science fiction horror story takes readers on a journey into what lies behind the gates of the world’s most infamous and secretive US military base.
Readers follow a broad cast of characters, all facing extreme danger as they try to unravel a UFO conspiracy that the government is working so hard to keep under wraps. A black ops unit is confronted with the unthinkable when entering the base’s quarantine zone, while another group of government contractors awaken dazed, confused and trapped underground. Soon, all of them are faced with a horrifying alien species.
Alien Domicile is based on the feature film, also written and directed by Kelly Schwarze. Now, he brings his decades of cinematic storytelling experience to the world of fiction novels. Schwarze thrills readers with a visceral creepy tale that explores interdimensional gateways, human mutations, and the the most popular conspiracy theory of all time.

This is well written but misses being a homerun for a few reasons in my humble opinion:1) Creepy underground Area 51 settings are created but not capitalized on.
2) An alien/human hybrid program and other government conspiracies are presented but never explained adequately. This huge plot point should be the big reveal, instead it is handled almost as an afterthought in a couple of paragraphs.
3) Members of the stranded team are infected but how they were infected is never explained.
4) Too much of the story is devoted to the dynamics of the stranded team's interactions and too little time is spent on driving the plot forward, which results in uneven pacing.
5) The aliens should provide the story with a terrifying presence, they just don't.
6) Other loose ends too numerous to list.
I think the author has a talent for writing and this story is competent enough. With some plot tweaks this could have been a 5 star science fiction/horror story. I'm just a (voracious) science fiction and horror reader, not a professional critic so this is just one readers opinion.
I do recommend this story, your mileage may vary.

Alien Domicile Escape Area 51 Kelly M Schwarze 9781540463180 Books Reviews
I have followed Indie Film Factory, Kelly Schwarze and Domicile's social media accounts since early last year. I have watched the "making" of this movie and I am amazed at the talent and creativity, involved. I cannot wait for the Canadian release of Alien Domicile...I am beyond excited! Kudos to Mr. Schwarze and his team!!
Page turner and and time burner. I'm on page 51 and Schwarze keeps you on the sky scraper's edge and thirsty for Domicile of your mind to to meet the its reflection on the big screen. I'm hyped up, fired up, charged up to finish the book and have the 8mm add sprinkles to my mental Domicile Sundae.

Alien Domicile is a great Sci-Fi read. In part one we get to meet our characters and feel out their interpersonal skills which set the dynamics for the rest of the story. The reader is left in suspense and with genuine intrigue. In part two, we become more familiar with the alien domicile and the action really takes off. I loved how the characters and their mysterious "illness" lead the story as they make their way through the labyrinth compound of Area 51 all the while stalked by alien foes.
The book does leave some questions unanswered, like why were these particular military personnel "choosen" and what specifically was the significance of their "illness", besides its devistating outcome.
I like that the ending is a cliff hanger and lends itself to a sequel which very well could answer the above questions.
All in all, I enjoyed the book and look forward to seeing Alien Domicile unfold on film!
No plot. Poorly written.
An enjoyable bit of suspense. I'm really looking forward to the movie.
Different, edge of your seat action but the ending was unexpected
Enjoyed the story and
Looking forward to the movie???
The book and the movie had nearly (if not completely) identical dialogue. So I am going to guess this book was written from the movie and not vise versa. However, it makes more sense than the movie because you get inside each character's head which you can't easily do in the film. Helps make sense of things that don't make sense in the film. The book was a paltry 140 pages and should have been longer given the scope of the story so I am only giving it 3 stars. Besides it's a cheap trick to make a book from a film.
